GR145 is a sliding door from the GlasFëns fiberglass series, built on a 145 mm pultruded fiberglass frame and fitted with Roto Inowa sliding hardware, made in Germany. Unlike a conventional sliding door, the Inowa mechanism pulls the panel tight against continuous perimeter gaskets as it closes, achieving the compression-seal airtightness of a casement in a sliding format. Shown here in its triple glazed (TGU) configuration.
GLASFËNS GR145 INOWA SLIDING DOOR is built from pultruded fiberglass profiles with a 145 mm basic depth. Fiberglass conducts heat at a small fraction of the rate of aluminum, so the frame needs no separate thermal break, and because it is made largely of glass fibers it expands and contracts at nearly the same rate as the glazing it holds. Seals stay tight through temperature swings, and the material does not warp, corrode, or rot. Profiles are finished with durable factory-applied coatings, with dual interior/exterior color available.
Triple glazed tempered glass is standard on all GlasFëns products, with low-emissivity coatings and warm edge spacers. The GR145 Inowa sliding door is shown in its triple glazed (TGU) configuration; double glazing is available where a project calls for it. Vacuum insulated glass options are also available across the GlasFëns range.
German multi-point locking hardware is standard. A multi-point system locks the sash or leaf to the frame around its full perimeter, improving security, pulling the weather seals tight on all sides, and helping prevent warping even on tall units. Concealed hinge options keep the hardware out of sight for clean lines.
